Happy 10 Months!

The boys are 10 months now!  The biggest update is that Oliver now wears glasses to correct an astigmatism.  He did not like the glasses at first, but got used to them surprisingly quick.  They continue to eat lots of new foods, including mango, fish, turkey, eggs, and bread!  They are slowly making their way up to normal table foods.  They each have 3 teeth now, which helps.  They are continuing to pull themselves up and walking with the aid of other people or supports (as well as continuing to crawl like pros).  Current likes:  gym class, swinging, mirrors, food, brushing their teeth, climbing on everything, iphones, peek-a-boo.  Current dislikes:  diaper changes, getting their noses wiped, sharing with their brother, being left alone.

Here are some pictures of Oliver with glasses (with a before picture as comparison!):

As the weather gets nicer, the boys have enjoyed going to the park.  They continue to love to swing (especially when in the same baby swing).

Here are some more of our favorite pictures!

Happy 9 Months!

It has been awhile since we have updated!  So much has happened in the last month.  The boys just turned 9 months!  They are crawling too quickly for our comfort, standing up while holding onto things, and walking with support.  Clark has said his first word ("mama"), and both are babbling and laughing a ton.  These champs are sleeping 7:30PM to 7:00AM (!).  They both have 2 teeth each (bottom front teeth).  They are up to 3 solid meals a day and down to 3 bottles a day.  In addition to pureed fruits and vegetables, they have also tried cheerios, greek yogurt, and egg yolk.  Additionally, they have been sick almost continuously since we got back from California which is fun.  Current likes:  Vtech walker, Elmo, food (especially puffs), standing up, strangers, rings, baby swings, gym class, whatever their brother is playing with, amoxicillin, being held upside down.  Current dislikes:  Getting their noses wiped, getting their toy stolen by their brother, diaper rash.

A little late but here are a couple of pictures from their 8 month photoshoot as well as a link to the full gallery.

Snow, Sun, and More!

The boys have had a busy few weeks.  Last week we got back from a 10 day trip to California, during which the boys had a chance to meet a lot of family and friends!

One day prior to leaving for California, it snowed in Boston, so Clark and Oliver had a chance to play in the snow.  They had a lot of fun touching snow and making snow babies.

On the morning of our trip, we had to wake the boys up at 5 AM!  They didn't mind though as they were excited to be going on an adventure with their parents.  The boys did great on the flight, despite not sleeping.  They loved looking out the window and talking to passengers on the plane.

Once in California, Clark and Oliver had a chance to enjoy the beautiful weather, hanging out at the beach, the park, and in the backyard.  The boys also were able to meet family - Par Nani (Kinji's grandmother), Papapap (Kinji's grandfather Papap), Shefali Mausi, Rahul Mama, Praveen Nana, Charu Nani, Rajat Mama, Adi Mama, Sunanda Nani, Ira Nani, Navin Nana, and Saroj Par Nani - as well as friends - Indu, Sunthar, Preeth, Tiffany, Nate, and Nicolas.  They also saw plenty of familiar faces as well!

During the trip, Tiffany and Nate came over with their son Nicolas, and all of the babies had a blast together!

We ended our trip with Aaron and Lena's wedding while Nana and Nani babysat the boys.  It was great to catch up with everyone!

Thanks for making it through this mammoth post!  We will try to get out the 8 month photos soon!

7 Months Already!

The boys are now 7 months!  Unfortunately, they have been sick recently with colds and ear infections, so we did not get a chance to do a 7 month photoshoot yet.  Hopefully will get to that at some point.  Clark and Oliver continue to crawl and explore their environment with increasing speed (!).  They have also started standing up on their own while holding on to objects/people.  We have a new nanny finally, yay!

Current likes:  standing up in their cribs, their walker, peas, rice or oat cereal, putting anything and everything in their mouths, each other, crawling, being upside down, cuddling (for Oliver).  Current dislikes:  getting noses wiped, being congested, getting flu shots, bananas (for Oliver only).

We've had a chance to have some more visitors including the Saxenas (Shishir Chacha, Mona Chachi, and Tulika), Aunt Danielle, and Chris and Holly.  The boys love meeting and cuddling with new people as well as familiar faces.

Clark and Oliver had a chance to do a gym class last weekend, which they really enjoyed.  During class, they were able to find a swing for two which was a lot of fun for them!

Our next adventure:  A 6.5 hour plane ride with two 7 month babies to visit family in California.  Wish us luck, and we will keep you posted!

Milestones!

The boys are finally crawling!  (We have also started on baby proofing the apartment).  They continue to love to eat solids and have tried carrots, butternut squash, peas, pears, rice cereal, oat cereal, almond butter, and sweet potato.  Their favorite food is peas, and least favorite is almond butter.  We are also doing a trial of daycare for now, and the boys are enjoying it, though finding it hard to sleep there!  They continue to be lucky in having tons of visitors and being able to meet other babies at Gymboree class and playdates.  Likes:  Each other, crawling, eating solids, reading, standing up assisted, Elmo.  Dislikes:  Being hit by their brother, having colds, getting their noses wiped, bumping their heads.

Here are some pictures from Gymboree class.  Thank you to Elissa for coming with us to help out!

Happy Holidays and Happy 6 Months!

The boys are now 6 months old!  They can both sit up without support, roll in both directions, and do downward facing dog yoga poses.  They are working on crawling, but are not quite there yet.  Likes:  Flying, solids, peak-a-boo, going outside, using their walker.  Dislikes:  Diaper rash, going down for a 3rd nap in the day.

The boys have had a busy few weeks.  Because of the holidays, they have had a ton of visitors including their Nana (Arvind), Nani (Neena), Conal Mama, Damini Mausi, Nana (Tricia), Grandpa (Barry), Aunt Kaitlyn, and Aunt Danielle.  They had a ton of fun opening presents and celebrating their first Christmas ever!  Thank you to Kristina and Andrea for the bibs and to Nana and Grandpa for the outfits.

Here are a bunch of pictures of the boys in their new Christmas outfits:

The boys turned 6 months on December 19th, growing up so quickly!  Here are some unofficial pictures from their photoshoot.  Nicer ones to follow!

To close, here are some more pictures from this month.  We have had so much fun with both of them and continue to be amazed by them everyday!

Visitors and Playdates

The boys are lucky to have had so many fun visitors and playdates over the last couple of weeks.  They are doing well and continue to grow so quickly!  We finally feel confident enough telling them apart to stop painting Clark's toenails as well.  Current likes - Solids (carrots, butternut squash, rice cereal, oat cereal), their walkers, the Jolly Jumper, the toy ball from Conal Mama, Daddy's beard.  Current dislikes - Being tired, waiting too long to eat.

Here are a few pictures of the boys with new favorite toys:

Last weekend, the Ladenheims came to visit, and the boys had a ton of fun.  Steve, Cheryl, and Valerie were not afraid to get down on the mat and play!

Aunt Danielle came by this weekend and was super helpful watching the boys while we did chores around the house (thank you!)

Happy Thanksgiving! Our Trip to New York...

All of us traveled to New York last week for Thanksgiving, which meant the first road trip for the boys.  They did very well on the way there, sleeping most of the way.   We stopped to eat on the way there, giving the boys a chance to try out their portable highchairs:

Once in New York, the boys had a ton of fun hanging out with each other, their grandparents, Aunt Kaitlyn, Uncle Tim, and Conal Mama (special thanks to him for flying out all the way from California)!  We also had a chance to go out to dinner with the whole family.

On Thanksgiving, we went to GG Pat's house for dinner.  The boys did great, but did have some trouble napping and were super tired at the end of the night!  They loved having a chance to hangout with both Great Grandmas, Aunt Danielle, Great Aunts Amy and Gail, and Great Uncles Mark and Joe.

On Saturday night, a bunch of Nana (Tricia's) family came over for dinner.  We were able to celebrate both Kaitlyn and Tim's engagement as well as Giovanna's birthday.  The boys had fun meeting everyone!  We also had a chance to meet sweet Scarlet, who is getting so big!

We ended the weekend with a playdate for the boys.  Grandpa Barry's business partner John Michael, his wife Kayley, and son Griffin came over.  All of the babies had fun together on the mat, and Griffin was kind enough to share his toys.  We then headed back to Boston, which the boys did not enjoy much as it was a long car ride with lots of traffic, but small price to pay for a week of fun!

Happy 5 Month Birthday and Solid Foods!

The boys are now 5 months!  Both of them have started rolling from back to front and are scooting along the mat pretty well.  They have also started eating solids!  We started with carrots, which Clark seemed to like better than Oliver.  Current likes:  Oliver - rolling, sleeping on his stomach, staring at us while we are eating, the Exersaucer.  Clark - blowing raspberries, trying to crawl, being distracted while eating.  Current dislikes - Sleeping unswaddled, missing naps, getting their hair combed.

Since they have started rolling, we have had to put them down with their arms unswaddled.  Oliver now prefers sleeping on his stomach, while Clark is still keeping to his back (for now).

Thank you to Danielle and Kim for coming over this week and helping to take care of the boys and to put them to bed!  You guys rock!!

Here are some pictures from the boys' first solid food meal:

Playdate

The boys had a super busy week.   Nana and Nani were still in town, so the boys had a chance to continue to play with them.  Nana and Nani actually did bedtime on their own with the boys 2 nights in a row without any issues (thank you so much for babysitting so we could go out to birthday and anniversary dinners)!  Both continue to roll sporadically from their stomachs to their backs and sit up with support.  They are also still trying to hold bottles, occasionally with success.  Current likes for Oliver - the Exersaucer, the playmat, reading, being held when tired.  Current likes for Clark - blowing raspberries, the playmat, being held in the air, funny faces/noises.  Current dislikes for both - sleeping in carseats, being overtired, disrupted schedules.

On Saturday, we all went out to brunch to celebrate Kinji's birthday.  Oliver had fun drawing for the first time!

Happy Halloween!

The boys had a busy week and weekend.  They went to the doctor this week and got their 4 month shots (ouch!).  Clark's weight is now in the 22nd percentile and Oliver's is in the 29th, which is a big improvement from where they started (off the charts).

They had a fun weekend with lots of visitors, including Nani and Nana (Kinji's parents), Damini Mausi, Elissa, Mike, and Kim.  They also had fun dressing up for Halloween and helping to hand out candy to the trick or treaters.  Tonight they also went out to a nice dinner for the first time with the extended family.  Current likes - each other, their playmat, the Jolly Jumper, and the Exersaucer.  Current dislikes - banging heads with each other, going into their carseats (especially when tired), wearing minion hats, and getting shots at the doctor's office.

More Visitors and Lots of New Toys!

The boys are now 18 weeks old!  They are continuing to gain weight well...Oliver is now 15 lbs, and Clark is 14.4 lbs!  They continue to do well holding up their heads and are even starting to sit up on their own in a tripod position.  They love each other, their toy turtle, their playmat, reading, and singing.  They do not like being burped, feeling gassy, and getting their fingernails cut too short :(

The boys also had a chance to meet Nancy, one of Kinji's coworkers and friends.  They enjoyed cuddling and playing with her.

The boys also have lots of new toys that they are now big enough to play with, including their exersaucer and their jumper.

Now that the boys are able to sit up better, they are adorable to take pictures of on their chair together!   Oliver is on the left and Clark is on the right in all of these.

4 Months Already!

The boys are 4 months now and doing well!  They dropped their 2nd overnight feed 3 days ago, so all of us are sleeping a lot more, yay!  They are improving in terms of head and neck strength, but still not able to sit up on their own yet (but they can for a little while in their Bumbo seats).  They like each other, being held up in the air, reading, singing, being outside, and trying to hold their bottles during feeds (but can't do it for very long!).  They dislike their feeds being interrupted, having their ears cleaned out by Daddy, and sleeping in their carseats.

Here are some pictures, one day early. See this gallery for the rest of the 4 month photoshoot. Also, see this other gallery for more pictures just posted from the 3 month photoshoot.

16 Weeks old!

The boys are now 16 weeks old!  They are chatting up a storm and smiling at and talking to each other as well.  They are now able to hold their heads up well enough to sit in their bumbo seats.  They continue to love their activity mat, singing, and tummy time.  We are also starting to wean the swaddles now (leaving one arm out).  Big boys!

The weather has also been beautiful, so we had a chance to take the boys on their first trip to the Boston Commons for lunch and a walk.  The boys had a chance to admire all of fall foliage, so many colors!

The boys were also lucky enough to have a visit from their Nana and Grandpa this weekend.  They got to get in a lot of snuggles and reading with Grandpa (the boys are so lucky!).

Family Time

The boys are 15 weeks old now!  They continue to smile and giggle, still loving their frogs and the truck on their changing table.  They are also big boys now...Clark weighs 12.6 lbs and Oliver weighs 13 lbs!  We had to weigh them on our bathroom scale with one of us holding them as they are too big to be weighed on our kitchen scale now.

This weekend, Aunt Kaitlyn and Uncle Tim visited.  The boys had a ton of fun with both of them, and we were able to get some more sleep as well as Kaitlyn and Tim took over several of the feeds by themselves (thank you!).  We also took the boys out to brunch with Kaitlyn and Tim's help, and the boys did extremely well!

We also had Aunt Danielle over for dinner Sunday night as well, and the boys had a lot of fun with her as well!  They are so lucky to have so many visitors and people to play with :)

Chrolly Wedding and More Visitors

The boys are 14 weeks old!  They continue to smile and have started giggling as well.  Both of them have also rolled over from their stomach to their back a couple of times each! They love the truck on the wall near the changing table, their toy frogs and Curious George, reading, and their activity mat. Neither of them like their feeding to be interrupted while waiting for the other one to be burped.

Our friends Chris and Holly also got married this weekend with an absolutely beautiful wedding ceremony (congrats you two!).  We had the chance to attend their wedding as a whole family, making it the boys' first wedding.   Holly's nephew Sam is about the same age as the boys and did great during the ceremony as well!

Happy 3 months!

The boys turned 3 months yesterday!  How time flies.  Here are some pictures from our phones, but we did take some pictures with our nice camera as well, so those will hopefully be soon to follow.

The boys continue to do great at tummy time, and they have each rolled over from front to back once!  Hopefully they will be crawling soon!  They are both talking a bunch, and we can often hear them cooing over the monitor after we put them to bed.

Storytime and Nannies

We have survived one week of being on our own with the boys (though with a lot less sleep than when our parents were around!).  The boys were also moved from their bassinets to their cribs and have overall been doing well in their own room now for a couple of weeks.  The next step will be for us to stop sleeping in their room with them...

After a lot of stress and effort, we have also finally found a nanny (Agnes) for the boys!  Kinji and Agnes took the boys to storytime at the library today, which they really enjoyed!

The boys will be 3 months this weekend, time flies!
