Happy 12 Weeks!

The boys turned 12 weeks yesterday!  They are continuing to master tummy time and can lift their heads completely off the mat (see picture of Clark below).  They are starting to outgrow their newborn clothing (!).

The boys are already Harry Potter fans as well (thank you to May and Damini for the shirts!).  We have been debating which house they belong to.  Our bet is on Ravenclaw, but we will see...

We have been so lucky to have a ton of help from all of our parents (thank you to all 4 of you!), but we have now been on our own since Tuesday.  Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Happy 11 Weeks!

The boys turned 11 weeks today!  They are doing well and finally starting to stretch out to 4 hour intervals at nighttime.  They continue to enjoy tummy time, staring at people, and reading.

Happy 10 weeks and Happy Birthday Nani!

The boys have been doing well and turned 10 weeks on Friday!  Both are smiling a lot (especially when being fed and getting their legs bicycled).  They have had several visitors recently.  Great Aunt Amy, Great Uncle Mark, and Aunt Danielle stopped by.  The boys' Nani and Nana are also here for the next couple of weeks to help out.  Nani was lucky enough to get to spend her birthday hanging out with the boys as well!

Happy 2 months!

Happy 2 months to Clark and Oliver!  Oliver is now above 9 lbs, what a big boy!  Both boys have had real smiles now and enjoy playing.

Happy 8 weeks!

The Sports turned 8 weeks yesterday!  They are doing well overall.  They are ambivalent about tummy time, almost smiling, loving their pacifiers, and enjoying bedtime stories.

Nani and more visitors!

The boys had a chance to meet their great nani (Kinji's grandmother), Baby Nani (Kinji's aunt), Mukesh Nana (Kinji's uncle), Chandni Mausi, and Damini Mausi over the weekend.  Nani had a lot of fun holding each of them!

Today, the boys had a chance to hang out with Aunt Elissa who came over to give Kinji some company.  Elissa also had a chance to wear Oliver, who thoroughly enjoyed it :)

We have also started a bedtime routine with the boys, and they love reading with Daddy at night.

Happy 7 weeks!

The boys turned 7 weeks yesterday!  They are doing well, now above 8 lbs each, yay!  They went through a tough week last week during which their sleep was not great, but they are starting to sleep better again now (hopefully).  They both love being up on people's shoulders, being read to, and talking (they say things like "aga" and "ungee").  Oliver loves tummy time, but Clark not so much yet.  They are still doing great with eye contact and almost smiles.

Aunt Kaitlyn and Uncle Tim have been visiting, so the boys have had a chance to hangout with them.  Thanks to both of them, we were able to take the boys out to breakfast today (they did great!).

More Awake!

The boys are having a lot more awake time, during which we have been reading, doing tummy time, and hanging out on the boppy.  During tummy time, both boys have been pretty successful in scooting across the mat by kicking out their legs.  We are also starting to get hints of a real smile from each of them (see picture of Oliver below).  Naps during the day are still difficult (hopefully this starts to improve over the next couple of weeks).

The boys are also big enough now that they can finally fit newborn sized clothing!  We have been having fun dressing them up in real clothing now.

We also made a trip in to Kinji's office after an OB appointment today, and the boys had a chance to meet all of the office staff.

Happy 6 weeks!

The boys are 6 weeks today!  They are sleeping beautifully at night (eating every 3 hours, and going back to sleep pretty easily after waking up), but we are still working on their naps during the day which are a little harder.  We have also been experiencing the infamous "witching hour" with the boys, which is a period of a few hours of increased fussiness during the early evenings.  We have been taking them for walks or putting them in slings during this time to help.  If anyone wants to babysit during witching hour, we would be happy for a break :)

Here are pictures from their 6 week photo shoot:

Above 7 lbs!

The boys are continuing to gain weight.  Both are above 7 pounds now!  Pretty soon, they will be big enough to start wearing in slings.  They have good days and bad days with respect to sleep and napping.  We are still keeping them on a pretty regular schedule of feeding and sleeping (which they may or may not follow on a given day!).

They boys continue to do well at tummy time, now able to lift their heads completely by pushing off with their arms.

Happy 5 weeks!

Happy 5 weeks old to the Sports!  They are still feeding well on a 2.5-3 hour schedule, but again still working on sleep.  They are continuing to lose hair, making them look like grumpy, old men at times.  Here are some pictures from today:

Tricky Tricky

The boys saw their pediatrician yesterday who was thrilled with their weight gain.  Clark was 6 lb 12 oz and Oliver was 6 lb 15 oz (almost 7 lbs!).

The boys are also starting to look like each other more as their hair falls out and they both gain weight.  Last night we actually mixed up the babies at some point and noted in the morning that they were in the wrong bassinets.  It is definitely hard to keep track when you are sleep deprived!  We have reapplied nail polish to Clark's nails to help us for now as they continue to grow.

Happy Official 1 month!

Today is officially the boys' 1 month birthday.  They are gaining weight like champs.  Oliver is 6 lbs 12 oz and Clark is 6 lbs 10 oz!  Here are some unofficial 1 month pictures on their official 1 month birthday:

Happy 1 month (sort of)!

The boys are 4 weeks old today!  They continue to gain weight, but still need to work on their sleep.  Kinji was so tired that she thought 4 weeks old was equivalent to 1 month and did a 1 month photo shoot today (oops).  As it's close enough to the actual date and the pictures are cute, we decided to post them anyway!  The boys posed in button down shirts for their photo shoot...they fit a lot better now than before!

More Visitors

The boys continue to gain weight with Oliver's weight up to 6 lb 3 oz and Clark's weight up to 6 lb 2 oz!

On Sunday afternoon, they were able to meet Chris and Holly for the first time.  We have started introducing bottles of pumped milk, so Chris and Holly were able to help us by feeding both of them, yay!

Happy Due Date!

The boys are 3 weeks today, which also happens to be their due date!  They are doing well overall, both weighing over 6 lbs now!  What a difference 1 lb can make in appearance:

The boys also had a visit from Elissa on Wednesday.  Oliver loved cuddling with Elissa, and both boys took a nap together in their pack and play for the first time.

The boys are now starting to be more awake during feeding cycles.  Clark was successfully able to do some tummy time today!  He was able to lift his head and turn it in both directions.

Bath time!

The boys saw their pediatrician yesterday who was really happy as weights are continuing to go up.  Oliver is now 5 lb 14 oz and Clark is 5 lb 12 oz!  They are finally starting to fit into their newborn clothing better now as well.

Yesterday was also the boys' first bath!  Both of their umbilical stumps have now fallen off, so we thought is was time.  They both seemed to enjoy the bath initially, Oliver more so than Clark.

Happy 4th of July weekend!

The boys have had a busy weekend.  On top of continuing to gain weight (today Oliver was 5 lb 11 oz and Clark was 5 lb 9 oz!), they went for their first walk outside yesterday.  We have a double frame stroller, which is super convenient for transporting them in their carseats.  They also got to try out the lovely quilts that Holly made for them (thanks again Holly!).  They also saw family again today and were able to get some more time with Great Grandma Bernice.

Happy 2 week Birthday

The boys are 2 weeks old today!  Time flies when you're mostly eating and sleeping.  Both of the boys have been gaining weight, with Oliver at 5 lbs 6 oz and Clark at 5 lbs 4 oz today.  We have still had to supplement Clark at some of his feeds to make sure he gets enough nutrition.

The boys are getting some time to enjoy now with their other set of grandparents, Nana and Grandpa who have been graciously volunteering their time.

Thanks to Nana, we also were able to help decorate the nursery a little further by putting up some decals on the walls.
