Early weeks continued

The boys continue to mainly eat and sleep, with minimal other activity.  We are able to catch them alert on occasion though, at which point we have been talking or reading to them which they seem to enjoy.

The boys do not yet realize that the other one exists, but they are still really cute to take pictures of together:

Unfortunately, Clark's weights have not been increasing as quickly as recommended, so we have had to start supplementing with pumped milk in addition to his feeds.  On the plus side, this gives Dad and Nani (Kinji's mom) a chance to get to feed Clark:

We have also been very lucky in that both sets of parents have been willing to stay and help us take care of the boys (and cook/clean for us!).  Today is Nani's (Kinji's mom) last day here with the boys, then Kevin's parents will take over from there.  The boys are lucky to have such loving grandparents!

Gaining weight!

We had our third pediatrician's visit today since the boys have been home, and the good news is that the boys are now above 5 pounds each, which puts them above their birth weights!  They had left the hospital at 10% below their birth weights, so the pediatrician had been monitoring them carefully.  We are so happy that they are doing well and gaining weight.  We have also started weighing them at home too (on our kitchen scale!) to keep track.

At this point we are starting to notice subtle differences between them in terms of their head shapes and features, so hopefully we will be able to start telling them apart soon.  For now, we have painted Clark's toenails blue to help us keep track of which twin is which.

The boys also had a visit from their uncle Conal this weekend, and had a fun time with him!  Conal brought the boys a new friend, who they have enjoyed hanging out with.

They're Here!

Hi all,

We were very excited to finally meet our 2 baby boys, Clark Ravi Litthi and Oliver Deep Litthi!  They were born at 9:02 am and 9:04 am on 6/19/15, weighing in at 4 lb 14 oz and 5 lb respectively.

We are now back at home with the two of them.  Life is a little hectic, but we are having so much fun with them!

35 weeks! (and baby shower pictures)

Kinji has made it to 35 weeks which is really exciting as the Sports' lungs should now be mostly matured!  The babies are doing well, they are moving a ton and were noted to be about 4 pounds each at their last ultrasound about 2 weeks ago.  Looks like they are both still transverse in position though, so we have been tentatively scheduled for a C-section at on June 26, 2015!

Here is a link also to long overdue pictures from our baby shower!  Thank you again to everyone who made it and helped make it a success.  The Sports already love all of the gifts they received, and we have really enjoyed reading to them from their new library :)

More Ultrasounds

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the delay in updating.  We have been super busy as we just moved to a larger apartment in Newtonville.  We did not think our 1 bedroom apartment downtown would cut it somehow...

In the meantime, we have had 2 sets of ultrasounds, one at 20 weeks and one at 24 weeks.  The Sports have been growing on target which is great!  At their 24 week ultrasound, they were estimated to be 1 lb and 9 oz!  They have also been kicking a bunch (both Kinji and probably each other).

Here are the links to their ultrasounds:

16 Week Ultrasound

We recently had our 16 week ultrasound.  It was super cool to see all 4 chambers of both hearts contracting clearly (the babies' first echocardiogram!).  It also looks like we are having 2 boys!  We are super excited and now will start considering lots of names.

Here is a link to the 16 week ultrasound!

Welcome!

Hi everyone!  We wanted to use this blog as a place to share pictures with everyone, particularly of our little ones (aka "the Sports").   Take a look at their 14 week ultrasound pictures here.  More to come!

We will periodically update with pictures and news.  If you would like any higher resolution images (particularly of wedding pictures), please contact us directly.
